Russia and India will create a new system of crisis management in emergencies, fires and other disasters that marks the beginning of cooperation between the EMERCOM of Russia and their colleagues from India - one more direction in the multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries.

Start of the joint project was given at the meeting of the Russian-Indian Joint Commission on Cooperation in the field of Emergency Management for 2016-2017. held in the Indian capital. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters Mr. Vladimir Puchkov and the Minister of the Interior of India Mr. Radzhath Singh.

Russia and India are planning to develop a system of space monitoring of various dangers and threats. One more important area of joint activity is the education and training in Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters.

It is possible that the first step in the cooperation will be the visit of the Indian delegation to the 9th International Safety and Security Exhibition ISSE 2016 which will be held from 17 May to 20 May 2016 in Moscow in the territory of the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (VDNH).
